Why get a career WOF?
When an engine light appears on your dashboard, you get your car checked and for general upkeep, you also get a Warrant of Fitness every 12 months. The majority of us try and get a physical health check for ourselves and our loved ones once a year and our Bank Managers often chase us to review our mortgages and financial status on an annual basis. We take our pets to the vets to get them checked fairly regularly and our antivirus software checks out the health of our computers. But what about a career warrant of fitness?
Why wouldn’t you apply the same logic to your career? Especially if you see a red flag with your role/employer or want an update on the market trends over the last 12 months and how they might impact you.
What is a career warrant of fitness?
Well, the good news is, our Professional Services team is holding an event which is essentially a Warrant of Fitness for your Career. Join us for a confidential chat over a beer, wine or other beverage of your choice with some nibbles after work hours and secure the information that you need to ensure that your career is on track.
Who would suit a WOF?
If you have more than 12 months of experience working within public practice, professional services or an accounting firm – we want to meet you. Whether you’re in business advisory services, tax, external audit, corporate finance or insolvency, this is our specialism.
You will spend 30 minutes with either myself or Ben Holloway and between us we have over seven years experience specialising as recruiters exclusively for CA firms.
We will discuss:
- Market trends
- Salary banding
- Updated benefits from employers
- A check list of short term and long term career goals
- Your current role and responsibilities
- Strategies and advice to get you closer to your goals
- Answer any of your burning questions
There will be a business card drop and you will go into a draw to win a $250 voucher!
When? Thursday 9th September from 4.30pm
Where? Our offices are based in the heart of Auckland CBD on Queen Street. Once we confirm your time, we will send you a calendar appointment with our address.
