More about Russell

Originally from Manchester but raised in Scotland, I relocated to New Zealand a year ago, trading one beautiful landscape for another to pursue my dual passions: professional growth and football.

Coming from a background where teamwork is paramount, I have truly found my stride within the recruitment industry. Whilst I am relatively new to the field, I have spent my first year in New Zealand immersing myself in the local market and adopting the “Tyler Wren Way’ which is a philosophy that prioritises genuine relationships over mere transactions. To me, recruitment is not simply about filling a vacancy; it is about the reward of assisting individuals as they navigate their career journeys and helping businesses discover the missing piece of their puzzle.

I am not merely here for a “stint” abroad; I am here to establish a long-term career. Choosing Tyler Wren was a deliberate decision to align myself with one of the most respected recruitment brands in New Zealand. Under the mentorship of some of the most accomplished professionals in the sector, I am committed to becoming a specialist who adds significant value to the recruitment community.

When I am not at my desk, you will likely find me on the football pitch. I moved here specifically to play and have not looked back. When I am not chasing a ball, I am usually on the golf course working on my handicap or enjoying the vibrant social scene for which New Zealand is renowned. I am a firm believer that the finest connections are often forged over a coffee or a round of eighteen holes.
