I have outlined below a number of roles that the Banking, Insurance and Financial Services team are currently working on, along with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in these roles:

Senior Commercial Broker – Auckland

$150k – $160k

The role:

  • Manage and retain an existing client’s Commercial Insurance portfolios
  • Business develop a book of Commercial Insurance clients via a strong lead base
  • Set up new policies and finance arrangements
  • Develop internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Focus on the larger clients with assistance from the Support Team
  • Negotiating renewal terms for existing clients with underwriters and remarketing

What you will bring: 

  • 6+ Years of industry experience is essential, particularly in Commercial Insurance (F&G)
  • Demonstrated and proven experience in growing a book
  • Ability to work independently
  • Leadership attributes would be desirable
  • Be part of the team and add value to the culture
  • ANZIIF Qualifications are preferable and NZFSC Level 5 (General Insurance)

Commercial Broker – Auckland/Christchurch

$130k – $150k

The role:

  • Manage a large book of clients, predominantly SMEs and Financial Lines
  • Assistance from the Support Team as you focus on a decent book size
  • Develop key internal and external relationships
  • Underwriting proposals
  • Annual review of client needs and remarketing covers

What you will bring:

  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience is essential, particularly in Commercial Insurance (F&G)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Be part of a team and add value to the less experienced team members
  • ANZIIF Qualifications are preferable and NZFSC Level 5 (General Insurance)

Financial Adviser – Auckland/Wellington

$90k – $100k

The role:

  • A new and exciting project with a new team
  • Work with a supportive team
  • Virtual client/customer interaction on a daily basis
  • Great opportunity for an individual with some experience in the Advisory (Life, Kiwisaver, Investments) space wanting to grow and continue to develop their expertise

What you will bring:

  • Currently completing your Level 5 Certificate in Financial Services or have already completed it ( ideally Investment and/or Life/Health Insurance strand)
  • Experience in financial services/banking is preferable
  • An interest in technology or virtual tools would be desirable
  • Motivated and wanting to develop
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Domestic Broker – Auckland

$75k – $95k

The role:

  • Manage a portfolio of domestic clients ensuring that effective relationships are built
  • There will be a new business focus whereby you will generate leads
  • Support the Team Leader to lead the Domestic Team
  • Processing of new business, endorsements and renewal transactions
  • Mentor other members of the team

What will you bring:

  • NZFSC Level 5 (General Insurance) completed
  • Knowledge of domestic insurance products
  • Sales and growth mindset
  • Be a team player and add value to this business

Claims Consultant – Christchurch 

$60k – $70k

The role:

  • Assist the Claims Manager in the full servicing of claims and fully inform brokers, clients, and insurers of all relevant claims matters
  • Support the handling of all claims from end-to-end for all clients
  • Negotiate on behalf of clients to insurers
  • Develop strong relationships with insurers and internal clients

What you will bring:

  • 1-2 years of experience in the general insurance industry, claims would be desirable 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal colleagues, external clients, and broader industry market segments
  • A strong and positive work ethic
  • Ability to build rapport with suppliers, brokers/insurers, external parties

Commercial Broker Support – Auckland/ Christchurch 

$65k – $75k

The role:

  • Provide assistance to the growing Commercial Team
  • Internal support contact for clients which includes insurance, premium funding, and any maintenance required for the policyholder
  • Support the Commercial Broker in the business, whilst also resolving incoming queries
  • Identify opportunities with each client interaction
  • Onboarding of new clients

What will you bring:

  • 2+ years experience across General Insurance, preferably Commercial Business Risk, Commercial Underwriting would be advantageous
  • Studying towards or have completed NZ Certificate in Financial Services Level 5 (General Insurance)
  • Good planning and organisation skills
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
