Why did the scarecrow get the job? He was outstanding in his field. Now we have the dad (recruitment) jokes aside, we have a job opportunity on our team and you want to know why.

Tyler Wren is growing and we need to add a talented, quirky Experienced Recruiter. We’re looking for someone with a sound sense of humour to join our Professional Services team in Auckland. We are the largest specialist CA team in New Zealand and we have a lot of knowledge to share with you to make you an expert on your desk.

Why would I work for Tyler Wren?

As cliche as it sounds, the people. We have an extremely long list of reasons why anyone would want to work with us. First and foremost our people are second to none on a personal and professional level. Some of my favourite things are:

  • Office culture – we work hard and banter, banter, banter
  • Autonomy to run your desk your way
  • Flexibility – WFH two days a week and glide time
  • There is no set start time or finish time
  • In depth training for independent thinking
  • Furry friends in the office every day – Dotty, Boon, Kobe, Panda, Jinx to name a few
  • Social – Vineyards, zip lining, climbing the harbour bridge, bowls & the list goes on
  • Attractive base $60,000 – $80,000 + KiwiSaver + Generous Uncapped Commission
  • Brand new expanded offices due to our growth, based on Queen Street

What are we looking for?

Essentially someone who is out the box, and who loves dogs. You must be able to handle some friendly roasting jokes and be an Experienced Recruiter. You could be a recruiter who wants a 360 degree client and candidate facing role. Or you could be a 360 degree recruiter who is looking for a change – new desk or new employer where you are treated as an adult.

Who would you be working with?

We have Ben who has been on the desk for a couple of years. He is an Englishman so of course he loves football and a Dad of two wee girls. Ben has been extremely successful transitioning from recruiting Quantity Surveyors to Chartered Accountants. He is a 360 degree Recruiter. Ben works with a range of clients across the country and is going to set up a new office for Tyler Wren in the South Island (hence the job opportunity with us).

Our newest addition is Chris. He was in the office a full three days before we went into lockdown. He focuses on engaging candidates within the CA space for Ben and I to place with our NZ wide client base and we have done the majority of his training virtually. I asked him about this experience so far so his words, not mine “I feel supported, you are consistent, patient and explain everything in a concise manner.”

My name is Tash, I have been specialising in this market for almost six years and I love it! Yes I love accountants and I would like to say, I know a fair few things. And I hold my reputation in the market in the highest regard. My management style is “free range”. I like to match your learning style, I am known as the Mother Hen of the office and I am a hugger!

Interested in this job opportunity?

First of all please send through your updated resume and I would love to know what 3 songs you would add to our Office playlist. From there we can have a yarn and set up a virtual coffee to see what you’re all about and for me to tell you more about us. Find out why you should work with us.
