Happy New Year! An overview of 2022 and what 2023 looks like for the Banking and Financial Services area of Tyler Wren

2023 is here, and it’s time to embrace a new and exciting year ahead. 2022 was a year of growth within our New Zealand team as we expanded the size of the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance team while further expanding our presence in the Australian market.

What we did in 2022 – Financial Services Overview

In 2022, we worked alongside our banking and financial services clients to successfully assist with finding candidates. We were able to assist in areas such as, but not limited to, Compliance, Governance, Internal Audit, Financial Crime, Credit Risk, Risk Assurance and Operational Risk. As well as specialist projects, for example CCCFA and CoFi. Our team also actively worked across wealth management, insurance and front-line planning opportunities. We also worked alongside our banking clients to offer assistance on the retail front with roles such as Retail Branch Manager, Quality Assurance, Lending Consultant, and Lending Team Leader. Market research

The Banking & Financial Services team used market research and conversations across the market to collate our 2022/23 Risk and Compliance Salary Guide. We are now working on the 2023/24 salary guide which will be released mid-way through 2023.

Building relationships

Moving into 2023, we are looking forward to continuing with the already-solid relationships we have with our clients and candidates across New Zealand and Australia. However, we also look forward to building new relationships. As well as helping more individuals relocate to either New Zealand or Australia from overseas. Relocating over to a new country or returning home can be a stressful time.
